"Leave the gun, take the cannoli"

De retour de 3 jours à New-York! Les photos vont suivre très bientôt.

D'ores et déjà quelques remarques sur NYC :

On y trouve des cannoli excellents (cf. photo).

On y trouve également un temple égyptien authentique reconstitué dans une des salles du Metropolitan Museum of Art, accompagné d'une ribambelle de collections d'objets d'art africains, océaniens européens et sud-américains tous plus ébouriffantes les unes que les autres.

Contrairement à ce que certaines séries télévisées laissent penser, la majorité des new-yorkaises portent en fait des bottes fourrées plates et des parkas North-Face. Prend ça Manolo Blahnik!

En effet, la ville ne dort jamais (boules quiès recommandées pour ceux qui ne veulent pas l'imiter).

Je ne comprend pas comment font tous ces gens qui se baladent avec un café à la main pour passer les bornes d'entrées du métro et accomplir toutes leurs autres tâches quotidiennes avec une main occupée par un contenant plein de liquide chaud et qui tache.

Enfin, c'est une ville très chouette, et on y a passé trois jours excellents.

A few conclusions about NYC already :

One can find there some excellent cannoli (see picture above).

One can also find there a genuine egyptian temple rebuilt in one of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, with its accompaniment of african, oceanian, european and south american collections of artcraft, each one more mind blowing than the other.

Unlike what one can be led to think watching some tv shows, most of the new-york women wear flat sheepskin boots and North-Face Parkas. In your face Manolo Blahnik!

Indeed, the city never sleeps (so wear some ear plugs if you want to yourself!).

I don't get how all these new-yorkers accomplish everyday task such as getting through the subway checking doors while holding a pot of hot and staining liquid in their hand.

Why, it is a very fine city, and we had a great time there.
